My twitter account was hacked overnight by p*rn spammers...who sent DMs to people on my followers list. Yuck. Be vigilant, don't have the same password for everything!

Lacemaking Now that I know what I have, I suppose I should look into learning how to do it...but not for a while. Just to prove it *is* a lacemaker's pillow, here's some pics I've found on t'interwebs: Lacemaker - Caspar Netscher, 1664 Pillow Lace Maker - Thomas Woolner (not sure what year, but he died 1892) And finally: The Lacemaker - Jan Vermeer, 1669 Now - my crochet class went very very well last night! 3 out of 4 of my students "got it" which was lovely, as I'd been stressing about how I'd go about teaching, so it's confirmation...

Wet wet wet... My daughter's away on a Scout Camp this weekend. Not just any Scout Camp, but a selection camp to choose the lucky 27 Scouts who will be reperesenting South East London next year in Skåne, Sweden (my favourite part of Sweden, primarily because of Henning Mankell and Wallander). Now, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with her, but every time she goes on a Scout Camp...it rains. We thought the hoodoo might have been broken, as yesterday was, not quite glorious, but compared to the weather we've been having lately, positively tropical. True, we had a spit...

I'm Lisa, wife, mother of 4...frustrated artist. I sell hats on an occasional basis, and also whatever takes my fancy. Crochet features quite a lot in my life! I should point out I'm also Australian, but I've lived in London for the past 5 years.
