Remember I put an ad in my Church newsletter advertising my crochet classes? And I didn't think I'd get any response? WELL...I didn't get any yesterday, but TODAY I have received a phone call and an e-mail about it! Woot! So that takes us up to 4 people, plus me!! Lots more room if you're interested in coming...£25 covers 5 x 2 hour sessions, Monday evenings at my place, commencing 22 February, 8-10pm. You get your own crochet hook and wool, and cake and other refreshments. I think that's fairly good value, don't you? The aim is to teach everyone how to make a granny square, and by the end I hope we'll have made enough squares for an afghan blanket, which we'll donate to Smile International, so it's for a good cause, AND you get to learn a very handy skill!
Wish I was closer - I love crocheting. I am really not terribly crafty, so was pretty impressed with how straightforward it is. To say nothing of how quickly you can accomplish something. I really want to get back to the blanket I'm making, but it's still way way too hot here.

Crochet's wonderful stuff - I've been doing it ever since I was 10 and made a 5-pointed, and completely useless because I'd used acrylic yarn, pot-holder. Oh, it was supposed to be a granny square, in case you're wondering...Anyway, just to share it with others is, I hope, going to be a wonderful thing - of course, it's going to be revealing some previously closely guarded secrets...people (non-crocheters) are always amazed at how quickly I can get stuff made...it's much quicker than knitting, isn't it!
