A Very Late Folksy Friday...

Cars - can't live with them, can't live without them.  I was driving to school this morning and our car, not the most reliable at the moment - although it's a Volvo it *is* nearly 20 years old - whose brakes have been misbehaving a lot lately, decided to completely lock up on a busy road.  Fortunatelty (thanks God!) managed to edge my way around the corner to where the kids have Scouts (etc) and parked outside the Scout Hall.  I turned off the car, and started it again, leaving it running for a little while.  We then made our way to school (still in the car) very gingerly, dropped the kids off, and the youngest and I came home...where we left the car and did the rest of our travelling for the day...by bus!  Husband has some time off next week, so he's been advised that some of it shall be spent finding a decent mechanic (ie. not the one he normally goes to...another story in itself...).

Anyway, because of this, I have decided my Folksy Friday for today shall be on the theme of CARS!  Enjoy!
